I've finished another romper for Owen and I am so excited about it! It took me 2 nap times to complete and it's definitely the best one I've made, so far. I drew, cut, and appliqued the captains wheel that decorates the top. Plus, it has no unfinished fabric edges showing because I made the entire thing using French-seams. Meamaw taught me this technique, but here's an illustration I found online of how it works.
The hardest part... getting a picture of Owen wearing it! I took about 5 photos of the back of his head before getting this one of the front.
I like how he's got one finger up, "Just one picture, Mom."
"Hey, that's more than one picture! Don't make me come over there."
"That's it! I'm just going to have to walk over there and take the camera from you!"
Yup, you did read that correctly.... WALKING!!!! After teasing us with 1 or 2 steps here and there, he has finally started taking 5+ steps in a row. After the 5th step, he gets so excited, his arms start flailing around wildly, and he usually loses his balance. He's our little TODDLER now and we're so proud of him!
Congratulations Owen! Welcome to the walking club. Brittany- I love how you measure time in naps.
ReplyDeleteyay for walking!!! and a good job to mommy for another epic romper!
ReplyDeleteThat second pic, if his fist were balled up, it would look like he was flexing! LOL!
